Venture AOT Skills Not Working: Check the Activation

Last updated 2026-10-12Unofficial player article

Check the airborne Levi Spin double tap, Back Burst combination, and Reel In anchors before changing your whole layout.

If Venture AOT skills are not working, check the action's setup before changing every control. Levi Spin uses a double tap while airborne, Back Burst combines S with the Burst binding, and Reel In launches toward attached hooks. Those are different conditions. An input can be recognized while the result looks wrong because the direction or anchor is wrong. Isolate one skill on scenery, then compare the visible result with the action you intended.

Name the skill and the missing result

Start with the exact action: forward Burst, backward launch, airborne spin, or hook-directed Reel In. Do not treat them as a single skill button. Read the binding currently assigned to that action and translate a creator's demonstration into your own layout.

Then separate no activation from an unsuitable movement result. A forward launch that leads into an obstacle is different from an input that produces no launch. The first needs a route correction; the second needs a condition or binding check. This distinction prevents several settings changes from hiding the original symptom.

First-generation ODM encounterObserve hook movement and a Titan approach in this first-generation gameplay demonstration.

Check Levi Spin in the air

The tutorial activates Levi Spin by double tapping its binding while airborne. If you have been pressing once or trying from the ground, use the demonstrated condition before deciding the move is broken. Give yourself clear space and a visible forward path for the check.

If it activates but fails to produce a useful hit, line up the approach instead of tapping more rapidly. The movement propels you while spinning blades; it does not choose a weak point for you. Keep the target route and the exit in view, particularly when more than one Titan is nearby.

Levi SpinDouble tap its binding while airborne.A missed target can be an alignment problem.
Back BurstCombine S with the Burst binding.Burst alone launches forward.
Reel InAttached hooks and its demonstrated cooldown.Launch speed varies with motion relative to anchors.

Check the full Back Burst combination

Back Burst uses S plus the Burst binding in the demonstrated PC layout. Pressing Burst alone gives the forward version. S during ordinary hooked boost influences downward movement, which is another combination entirely. Read the full action before assuming the directional key should always do the same job.

Leave room behind you while testing. If the backward motion occurs but immediately meets scenery, the skill may be responding normally while the route is unsuitable. Change the practice position and compare the direction, rather than treating a collision as proof of an activation failure.

Check Reel In anchors and timing

Reel In follows the direction of attached hooks. Confirm the anchors before expecting the launch. The tutorial demonstrates a two-second cooldown, so repeated immediate presses are not a useful way to judge whether it is available. Observe one clean activation before attempting another.

The guide also shows greater speed while moving away from the hooks before reeling. A weaker-looking launch while already traveling toward them can be a timing difference rather than a missing action. Choose clear scenery and a known anchor direction to separate that technique from a binding problem. No gas consumption in the demonstration does not remove the need for suitable attachments.

Change one input only after the condition is clear

  • Confirm the action's binding in your current map.
  • Set up its airborne, directional, or anchored condition.
  • Watch for the action itself before judging a combat result.

Use Skills for the comparison and Gas Burst for the backward combination. If the mapped input stays unresponsive under the right condition, describe the skill and setup when asking the official community. Do not buy another item or rewrite the whole layout just to investigate one missing activation.
