Venture AOT Titan Tier List for Crowd Fights
Use a crowd-fight priority ranking, then favor Armoured’s melee and charge when ordinary mindless Titans are the objective.
For ordinary mindless-Titan PvE crowds in Venture AOT, I would prioritize Armoured ahead of Colossal. This Titan tier list ranks that crowd-fight choice: Armoured’s close-range kit is the S pick, while Colossal is the A option when reach and resistance matter more to your intended encounter.
Use the tiers for one clear crowd-fight objective
The ranking assumes your main job is fighting nearby mindless Titans with enough ground to organize close-range exchanges. S means the form I would choose first for that task. A means an appealing alternative whose strengths become more important when the encounter asks for a different approach.
Keep the objective alongside the letters. A tier is useful when it tells you what to do next, not when it becomes a reason to ignore the target, terrain, or kind of fight. This comparison focuses on Armoured and Colossal, with a practical preference you can change when the job changes.
S priority: Armoured brings the close-range tools
Armoured is effective against crowds of mindless Titans. Its punch combos and high kick support the melee exchange, while Breach Run adds a forward shoulder charge with knockback and structure damage. Those actions give it a useful combination of attacks and movement for working through nearby targets.
The roar or repulsion blast also breaks an AI Titan grab. That recovery tool matters when the encounter stops being a clean attack sequence and you need space to regain control. For this crowd-fight objective, I would value the ability to close distance, attack deliberately, and recover from a hold before choosing a form mainly for larger reach.
| Tier | Form | Main reason | Choose it when |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | Armoured Titan | Melee, charge, and AI-grab recovery suit nearby crowd fights. | Close-range PvE work is the main objective. |
| A | Colossal Titan | Greater reach and resistance favor a different exchange. | Range matters more than the close-range crowd plan. |
A priority: Colossal becomes attractive for reach
Colossal has greater reach and damage resistance in its matchup with Armoured. Its stomp can knock Armoured down, while Armoured tackles and heavy punches have little visible effect against it. Those differences make Colossal attractive when range and resistance are the central advantages you want to use.
Choose that priority deliberately. Give the target a clear place in the encounter and maintain a view you can follow. If the situation is asking for Colossal’s larger-range exchange, it makes sense to change your preference. The A position here belongs to the ordinary crowd objective; the direct relationship between the two forms favors a different emphasis.
Change the preference when the encounter changes
A crowd-clearing task and a straight form-versus-form trade ask different questions. Armoured’s useful close-range tools do not make exchanging blows with Colossal a comfortable plan. Likewise, Colossal’s favorable direct matchup does not automatically settle which form you want for every ordinary Titan outing.
Before activating, decide which advantage is central to the next encounter. Choose Armoured for the nearby crowd work described here. Choose Colossal when greater reach and resistance define the job. Colossal vs Armored expands that choice without turning every situation into the same tier order. Keep the objective, rather than the letter, in charge of the decision.
Turn the chosen tier into a usable short plan
Give the chosen form a specific encounter task before activating. For Armoured, choose a manageable crowd exchange and keep its attack, charge and grab recovery available for different moments. For Colossal, make reach central to the position rather than copying a smaller form’s close approach. The ranking has done its job when that task is clear.
Armored Titan explains how its attacks, charge, and grab escape fit together. Colossal Titan covers larger-form positioning when that is your choice. Use the ranking to pick the encounter priority, then use the operating guide to make the transformation productive.
