Venture AOT Codes Not Working: Entry and Status Checks
Check exact code text and expired status, then separate a rejected entry from a reward check in Venture AOT.
When Venture AOT codes are not working, check the exact entry and its listed status before submitting it again. Capitalization and punctuation matter, and a retired entry needs a different response from a typo. Use the Codes page to compare the text without guessing a replacement.
Read the entry character by character
Start with what is in the code field. These checks focus on the text you are actually submitting. Compare it against the published entry, keeping the same case, numbers and punctuation. When copying, make sure you have copied the entry itself rather than surrounding words or an accidental space.
An obvious mismatch gives you a specific correction: replace the text with the intended string, then submit it. This is more useful than changing several unrelated settings. If you cannot explain what you changed between attempts, you will also struggle to tell which attempt produced a different response. Keep each retry tied to a clear correction rather than repeatedly pressing Redeem with unchanged text.
Check status before another attempt
Exact spelling does not make a retired entry active. Check the status attached to the code on the Codes page. An entry marked Expired belongs to a different category from one you have mistyped.
For a text mistake, correct the text. For a retired entry, choose an active entry instead. Repeating the same expired string does not turn it into a new reward opportunity. This distinction also prevents wasted time: you can stop troubleshooting your keyboard once you have confirmed that the issue is the entry's status. Keep the current list close while comparing, rather than relying on a code you remember from an older video or message.
| Observation | Useful check | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| Text differs | Compare exact characters | Correct the field before retrying. |
| Entry is Expired | Read its listed status | Choose an active entry from Codes. |
| Money did not change | Check the promised reward type | Inspect points if points were awarded. |
| Exact text is rejected | Keep the actual response | Recheck status before repeating it. |
Separate rejection from a reward mismatch
An unchanged money balance alone does not describe every possible redemption problem. Some promotional rewards are Kroner, while others are Skill Points. Check which resource the listed entry was meant to provide before concluding that the reward is missing.
Read the actual submission response, then inspect the relevant value. If you expected money from a points reward, the next action is to check points, not to repeat the claim. If the response rejects the entry, return to spelling and status. These are different observations, and keeping them separate makes the problem easier to describe to another player.
Use the result to choose your next step
A useful retry has a reason. You might have removed an unwanted character or replaced a retired entry with one listed as active. Those changes address something visible in the field or list.
If the entry matches and you are still getting a rejection, keep the response text and stop changing unrelated controls. The code field is not a hook binding or a mobile layout option. Jumping between those menus cannot clarify which entry was submitted. Focus your next check on the published status and the message you received. Do not treat a server change as a promise that an expired entry will become redeemable again.
Describe the failed submission clearly
When asking another player for help, explain whether you could reach the entry field, whether the text matched, and what response appeared. Mention the reward category you were checking if the problem is a reward you cannot locate.
This gives the other person a concrete task. They can help compare spelling, look at the listed status, or explain where the relevant resource is displayed. Avoid combining all three into a vague claim that codes are broken. Your aim is to identify one actionable difference and resolve it, then return to playing instead of letting repeated, unchanged attempts consume the session.
